I’m Alex, a web developer.
Welcome to my blog! I know there’s no shortage of content to look at, so I thank you for your time. It means the world if anyone reads this space and finds the content to be useful.
As of November 2022 I started working as a web developer for Best Buy. It’s a unique role where I’m a single developer making custom experiences on bestbuy.com as part of the Digital Content Team. It’s not quite an Agile team as each product category team requests different types of work at different times. This is broadening my experience in a very short time.
Before that I completed a full-stack web development bootcamp on Udemy. I’ll make a separate dedication post to that course soon after this one in case you’d like to check it out.
I’ve noticed that there’s not a lot of intermediate content out there that’s structured in a way that anyone can follow. Specifically those who have completed a bootcamp but haven’t landed employment yet. Anyone can tell you to just start building products, but without direction it can be hard. Admittedly I should get better with open source, but I had an idea.
As I continue in the professional world of software development, if there’s a task that I can re-write in a teachable format, I’ll plan to do that here. I’ll try to include pre-requisite information, descriptions, clean code and lots of comments.
If you are checking this blog out and have any immediate feedback that I can use for improvements I welcome them whole-heartedly.
Thanks again for reading!
